#booktubeathon Wrap-Up

*Phew*. Ok so it wasn't that stressful except it kind of was. I was constantly switching between reading and school assignments. I'm sure there are people out there who excelled and sadly I'm not one of them, but nonetheless, I'm quite satisfied with my own results. I read a total of 6 books. Let's look back and see what the challenges were and what I've accomplished.

1. Read a book with pictures in it.
2. Start and finish a series.
3. Read a book with red on the cover.
4. Read a book that somebody else picks for you.
5. Read a book in the genre you've read the least of.
6. Read and watch the book-to-movie adaptation.
7. Read seven books and/or an average of 300 pages/day.

Day One:
Read most of "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children".

Day Two:
Finished "Miss Peregrine" and "The Assassin's Curse".

Day Three:
Finished "Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging", watched the movie, and started "The Giver".

Day Four:
Only Read 7 chapters of "The Giver".

Day Five:
Finished "The Giver", and started "Jinx" but couldn't get into it.

Day Six:
I read "Coraline" and started "The Pirate's Wish".

Day Seven:
Finished "The Pirate's Wish".

I didn't keep track of the number of pages read daily but the total average would be 1568 pages, give or take. So the only challenges I haven't finished are read seven books or an average of 300 pages/day and read a book with red on the cover: "Eon", which I know I'll love and don't want to rush through it.

So yup, I did pretty well. For months now, I've been suffering the reading slump, but I feel it slowly being cleansed out of my system and hopefully this will be a new start. I've loved reading since as long as I can remember and it would've been a shame to let go of something I truly care about.

Also, I've never set a monthly TBR list for myself, but I found that it really helped with the slump. For the next coming months I'm going to try and set a TBR and see how things work out because I usually spend more time trying to pick the right book to read rather than actually reading. I'm glad I was able to participate in this week-long journey.

What Have You Been Up To In The Past Week?
